The Cybertech CyberSpine back brace allows the patient to easily adjust the amount of compression the TLSO back brace provides in the interest of reducing load bearing for the spine. The postural extension brace controls motion of the trunk across all three planes, which is useful for treating number of back problems. This thoracic back pain treatment is a new and improved version of the original CyberSpine TLSO

Cybertech CyberSpine Back Brace

The postural extension this TLSO brace provides is ideal for treating and managing pain stemming from:

  • Osteoporosis
  • Compression fractures
  • Spinal stenosis
  • Kyphosis
  • Mechanical back pain
  • Strain
  • Pre- and post-surgery care

As previously noted, this kyphosis back brace is an upgraded version of the original CyberSpine TLSO. Some of the improvements include the addition of removable side panels for added support as well as an L-code for medical insurance reimbursement (L0464).

The side panels as well as anterior and posterior plastic shells and a thoracic extension element that connects symphis pubis to the sternal notch help restrict motion in the sagittal, frontal and transverse planes, stabilizing and supporting the trunk.

The posterior panel of this osteoporosis brace is ergonomically designed with a cutout to relieve any pressure on the spine. The panel extends from the sacrococcygeal junction to the inferior spine of the scapula (shoulder blades).

The fit of this treatment for kyphosis can easily be adjusted without the use of tools thanks to Velcro closures and quick adjust straps at the shoulder straps and sternal pads and the easy pull adjustment of the thoracic extension element.  The brace for osteoporosis fits much lack a backpack. See more braces for kyphosis treatment.

Another notable feature of this brace for postural extension is the patented mechanical advantage pulley system and the abdominal compressive component allows a patient to easily adjust the degree of compression the brace for osteoporosis provides.

The parts of the back brace for kyphosis that come in contact with the skin are lined with a soft, plush material that can be removed if one so desires. For more choices, check out BraceAbility’s full line of TLSO braces.

TLSO Back Brace for Stability & Pain Relief

Treatment of injuries or conditions affecting the thoracic spine might require more movement restriction than similar injuries to the lumbar spine. The thoracic spine is less mobile to begin with. Plus, there is less space as a buffer around the spinal cord in the upper back, increasing the risk of damage to serious complications with an injury in this region. On the flip side, injuries to the thoracic area of the body are rarer.

The postural extension this brace support provides not only reduces pressure on the intervertebral disc and vertebrae, but it also helps limit any harmful motions of the trunk. A period of relative immobility is often needed for healing to take place.

In some cases, such as if a fracture is unstable or if there are signs the nerves or spinal cord is being affected by the injury, surgery may be necessary. This brace for postural extension can help immobilize one’s upper back leading up to and following surgery.

  • Ideal for pre- and post-surgical care
  • Segmented rigid plastic shells
  • Molded panels
  • Removable side (lateral) panels for extra support and stability
  • Back panel has a cutout for spine relief
  • Extends from the sacrococcygeal junction to the inferior of the scapular spine
  • Patented mechanical advantage pulley system

The Cybertech CyberSpine TLSO is designed to provide effective thoracal lumbar motion restriction and premium patient comfort.  The product features a rigid posterior panel that extends from the sacrocoxygeal junction up to the T3 level (spine of the scapula).  A cutout running vertically in the panel is designed to relieve pressure directly over the spine and enhance air flow to the back.  The posterior and lateral panels feature plush removable padding on the inside that breaths for enhanced comfort. The spacer padding can be easily removed for washing by hand.  The front panel is connected to a sternal pad extension piece that can be telescoped up or down to provide a custom fit against the patient's sternum.  The Cybertech CyberSpine TLSO features a wide corset attached to a pulley system in the rear to provide effective compression and support through the abdominal, lateral, and posterior panels.  Thick, padded shoulder straps enhance the product's comfort for all day use.  The Cybertech CyberSpine TLSO effectively restricts gross spine motion in the frontal, sagital, and transverse planes for a variety of injuries.  This orthosis is well suited for treating osteoporosis, compression fractures, spinal stenosis, acute thoracic/lumbar strains, and excessive kyphosis of the thoracic spine.

Cybertech CyberSpine TLSO Features:

  • Abdominal, posterior and overlapping lateral panels provide effective motion restriction.
  • Breathable spacer material padding is breathable and can be removed for hand washing.
  • Telescoping front sternal pad can be raised and lowered for a customized fit.
  • Locking screw design does not require any tools for adjusting.
  • Thick, well-padded shoulder straps for patient comfort.
  • Vertical cutout in the posterior panel relieves direct pressure over the spine.
  • Fully adjustable pulley system increases abdominal compression with a single pulley cord.
  • Available in four sizes for an exact fit - see sizing chart tab.

The Cybertech CyberSpine TLSO can be used to treat:

  • Osteoporosis.
  • Compression fractures.
  • Spinal stenosis.
